Words that touch. Stories that transform.

Tell Me Now

TELL. ME. NOW.

Instead of expressing at my final bow…

For how will your feelings reach me;

When I’ll be a free soul and not anymore me!

So instead of waiting until the end,

Write all that you see good in me and press ‘send’!

Now.

Today.

Tonight.

But like my husband, don’t beg to plea –

“Writing isn’t everyone’s cup of tea!”

Because, will this excuse come into play

When you type to pour tributes wishing I’d stay…!?

Long letters in pure hindi like my mum’s;

Heartfelt notes without full-stops like my dad’s;

All capitals like my nephew’s and nieces’;

Your way is also the way – unique and true

Crisp, senti, sarcastic, or a saga – any version helps you through!

A true Cancerian that I am –

Emotions drown, float, and help me build a dam.

Can you help me?

YOUR POSITIVE WORDS will strengthen MY FLOAT in MY TURBULENT SEAS…

Nobody knows when it’ll be my D.O.D.

But today is my D.O.B.!

Why let memories turn bittersweet on death day

When you can gift them to me on my birthday!

So.

Do not procrastinate.

Write me something nice.

It IS my birthday today!

Swear!

Aur kya pata…

Kal ho naa ho!?

तो जिओ, खुश रहो, मुस्कुराओ (और मेरे लिए कुछ लिखों)!

  1. What a nice way to ask for letters 😎
    And on a special day too 🙌🏻
    Happy Birthday

  2. In the book ‘The Man who cannot die’, the author on his death bed had asked all his friends to write him back about what they would be sharing about him on his funeral. These sharings were then printed in this book.
    This blog is something sort of the same.
    I am glad that I am doing this for you…. though not elaborate but very short.

    “A blogger I admire!
    English grammar is proud of you!
    A mother who is too possessive!
    A courageous soldier fighting through life!
    A good daughter, a good sister, a good wife, …. a good friend!
    A Professional whose career is yet to start!
    An author which the world will soon revere!
