about us

Sometimes, the deepest stories are born in silence — in moments of pain, reflection, and the longing to be understood. The Positive Diary emerged from such silence as a gentle yet powerful response to life’s struggles, quiet awakenings, and the human need for expression. What began as one voice seeking healing has grown into a global sanctuary of real stories, heartfelt experiences, and meaningful life lessons. Here, voices from all walks of life come together to share reflections on growth, relationships, spirituality, work, and purpose. Every story is rooted in honesty and hope, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, light, connection, and transformations are always possible.

From the Founder's Desk

The Quiet Beginning

The Positive Diary didn’t start in a boardroom or a digital agency. It started in the silence of a young man who found it hard to speak up.

As an introvert, I always felt that life offered profound lessons every day, but our routines often blinded us to them—until they hit us hard. For me, expressing those feelings out loud felt impossible. So, I turned to the one place where I felt safe: the written word.

In 2012, I started a ‘self-expression’ website called amitchats.com, where I could speak my heart. Whatever realizations I had; I would just put them on the blog site. It became a sanctuary where I could be myself without the pressure to prove anything to anyone. For seven years, amitchats.com was my anchor.

The Crash and the Calling

In 2019, the unthinkable and unexpected happened. My website was hacked and destroyed. Seven years of thoughts, reflections, and memories vanished into thin air. The developer offered no hope or solution. He just said, “Forget about it. We can’t do much about it.” Fragmented and discouraged, I walked away from writing. My mind continually told me – it didn’t matter, but the heart kept crying.

Our subconscious has a way of holding onto what we love; and so did mine. While scrolling through social media months later, I noticed friends sharing their own life experiences across various platforms. I realized then that maybe I wasn’t the only one looking for a way to express the “inner self.”

That was my Eureka moment. Amitchats.com had always been about “Me, Mine and Myself.” But there was a greater need for something about “US.” I envisioned a platform where many voices could converge—a team, a community, and a collective well of wisdom. I reached out to a few friends, and with just four authors and a shared commitment to positivity, The Positive Diary was thus born.

A Global Sanctuary for Thoughtful Souls

Today, The Positive Diary is a reflective storytelling sanctuary for thoughtful individuals seeking calm, courage, guidance, real experiences and cultural depth in a noisy digital world.

What began as a small group of friends in India has blossomed into a thriving community. Five years since that rebirth, we are a group of 18 authors with a treasure trove of over 800 personal blogs. Our stories are being read in almost every part of the world. We touch various important aspects of life like – Spirituality, Ancient Indian Wisdom, Mental and Physical Health, Finance and Work, Parenting and Relationships, etc.

Our writers aren’t AI tools or professional content creators. They are teens, teachers, mothers, thinkers, leaders, lovers, parents and seekers. They share honest experiences of what they have gone through and their learnings out of those experiences.

What began as a space for expression is now evolving into The Positive Diary Foundation — dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s deeper struggles, from stress and mental health to youth challenges like substance abuse and suicidal thoughts.

Because some stories don’t just need to be told—they need to be supported.

About

What is it all about?

The Positive Diary began as a simple idea to create a space for real stories that heal, inspire, and connect. Five years later, it has grown into a heartfelt community with over 800 personal blogs from people across India.

Our writers aren’t professionals or AI tools. They’re teens, teachers, mothers, thinkers, and seekers, courageously sharing honest experiences on mental health, spirituality, poetry, fitness, and the wisdom of Indian traditions. Each post invites reflection and reminds readers they’re not alone.

We believe stories heal. They make space for truth, connection, and quiet strength, especially for those silently facing stress, anxiety, or emotional struggles.

We’re especially committed to supporting teens and young adults, expanding our reach through blogs, podcasts, YouTube shorts, and webinars – all created with care and authenticity.

At The Positive Diary, we don’t offer perfect answers. We offer something better: real connection, gentle hope, and a reminder that growth is always possible.

Come as you are. Read. Reflect. Write. Heal.

Leave a little lighter than you came.
