Mahipal Singh beats diabetes

A 65-year-old Navy veteran from Ghaziabad named – Mahipal Singh has caught attention and become an inspiration of many – young and old. He has defied this thing called AGE. He doesn’t believe in it, nor the fact that diabetes is not curable.

He has transformed his life by taking up running at the age of 65 in 2021. He has amassed more than 200 medals in just over 5 years. He maintains a rigorous routine and runs about 21 kms every day.

He has already had multiple achievements due to his dedication. It includes various achievement in his category of 60+ years –

  • 1st place in 1500 mts race
  • 1st place in 5000 and 10,000 mtr race at 2023 International Games in Dubai
  • National Record for 10 kms race
  • Half Marathon Record in Jabalpur
  • Full Marathon Winner
  • In Novemeber 2025, he won Bronze Medal at Asian Masters Athletics Championships
  • and many more …

He credits his success to strict diet of home cook food and junking the junk food! He is very disciplined with his training routine, irrespective of the weather. He works out about 6 hours every day

His determination, discipline and dedication can put many younger people to shame. But he clearly wants to inspire people of all age group top become fitter and avoid diseases!
