On 28th February 2026, US and Israel together launched attacks on Iran. The operation was named – Epic Fury, which was targeted at Iranian Nuclear Facilities, Leadership and Military Infrastructure. The idea was to completely dislodge Iran and control the activities, which US and Israel thought were alarming for the region.
The strikes on February 28 involved a massive aerial and naval bombardment that included U.S. stealth bombers and over 200 Israeli aircraft. This initial phase killed senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and heavily damaged missile facilities and navy assets. Many prominent Iranian leaders viz. – the Supreme Commander Ali Khamenei, Secretary of Iranian Defence Council, Commander in Chief of Forces, Minister of Defence, Senior Intelligence Minister, Head of Military Office, and many more were assassinated.
It is said that the traffic cameras on the streets of Tehran provided the real-time view of the targets. They were hacked years ago to plan for this event. The cameras were only one part of a much more complex system, that allowed Israel to build what one Israeli source familiar with the matter called an AI-powered “target production machine” capable of processing massive amounts of data.
In went visual intelligence, human intelligence, signals intelligence, intercepted communications, satellite imagery and more. Out came a pinpoint location in the form of a 14-digit grid coordinate. The sheer quantity of information required powerful computers to process, sort, and analyze the data to draw out what Israel wanted: targets.
To present date, the war continues to wage on. With US and Israel together, and top three layers of Iran destroyed in a single strike, everyone assumed that Iran would meekly bow die and the war will be over soon. Yet, Iran continues to fight and retaliate.
Why am I sharing this here? How is this relevant or important to us? Well, there is a huge learning on management from this war.
- All important people in the Iran administration/ government were wiped off in a single strike. Yet instead of surrendering to their enemies, they are putting up a fight. This is one of the biggest lesson from this war for a business owner.
How many times does our business suffer when one of the most important person in the organisation puts in his/ her resignation. We feel doomed and destroyed. Some people also go into a shell, not knowing how to face tomorrow. Inspite of losing all important people, they continue to function and put up a fight.
- The art of planning is to be learnt from them. I am sure they would have anticipated that an attack might happen on them. But such an attack might not have even been dreamt of. They must have had Plan B, Plan C, Plan D or even more.
In our businesses too, we are aware about the competition. Yet, we seem to complain when we lose an order to our competitor. Why don’t we have Plan B, C and D in our businesses?
- They were always aware that US-Israel is a force to reckon with. They knew that they might not be able to fight one-on-one with US and Israel together. Instead of engaging in a direct war with them, they targeted the weak points of their enemies. Iran attacked their neighbouring countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and American bases in that region. They also restricted passing of ships from Strait of Hormuz
Do we think in similar lines? Instead of going head-to-head, can we be creative to beat our competition
I am in no way suggesting that the war is the solution. Neither do I side with US-Israel or Iran in this war. There are multiple lessons for businessmen out of this conflict. We can learn from them and grow in our business; or we can complain/ bitch/ gossip about it and have no growth/ impact in our businesses
The choice is completely ours!

Very true…
Both sides are driven by ego. Both want to prove their supremacy, regardless of how many others suffer in their clash.
They are locking horns in a way that destroys global harmony and the economy.
This is very similar to human nature. Two people fight to win, to be “right,” and in the end both suffer — with nothing to gain in the long term.
Yes. For them human lives are not as important
Yet, the only thing we can do is learn whatever we can from these situations
