heading to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), where he serves 200 to 400 patients, attendants, and homeless people. Only after everyone has eaten does he begin his own workday at a bank
For over 10 years, this has been his daily routine.
Aziz’s mission has its roots in his own struggles. Growing up in a modest family, he knew what financial hardship felt like. While pursuing his Master’s degree in Hyderabad, he made a promise to himself: once he started earning, he would ensure that people in need never went hungry.
After getting a job, he shared the idea with his mother and a few close friends. His mother cooked 30 food packets, and together they distributed them outside a government hospital. The response was overwhelming. As more friends joined in, the initiative grew steadily. To give the effort a structured platform, Aziz founded the “Humanity First Foundation”.
What started as a small Sunday activity gradually became a daily service.
The meals are meant especially for families who travel from distant villages for treatment and often spend whatever little money they have on medicines, leaving nothing for food.
Aziz has always believed that people facing hardship deserve food cooked with the same care one would serve their own family. That’s why every meal is freshly prepared—not leftover food—and served with dignity.
For years, he carried out this work quietly, funding it with support from friends and well-wishers rather than seeking publicity. His extraordinary dedication has only recently gained nationwide attention through viral videos and media reports, earning him the affectionate title of “Hyderabad’s Food Man.”
Every sunrise brings another queue of hungry faces outside a hospital. And every sunrise, before the city clocks into work, Mohammed Sujath Aziz quietly keeps the promise he made to himself years ago—proving that the greatest wealth is not what we earn, but what we choose to give away.
