When I was doing my Masters in International Business from Monash University, Australia, we had a two days seminar titled – ‘Monash Future Leaders!’ The coordinator divided us in groups of six for an activity. He gave a set of six tangrams to each group. Each tangram piece was white in colour and made a square independently. To complicate things, he mixed all the six sets together. He told groups to now put together those six sets like how he gave us.

I quickly finished my tangram and was waiting for others in the group. Four of us completed, and two of them seemed to have some pieces missing. The pieces remaining wouldn’t fit the missing spaces. Something seemed wrong. The coordinator said, “It is not about doing it fast, but completing together as a team! Check if some pieces need to be exchanged.” All the four of us re-looked at our pieces, let go a few, exchanged a few and finally completed the six sets.

We four thought that were fast and the two were slow. Only to realise that it was not the case. Only when we worked together understanding and helping together did we complete the puzzle.

Similarly, each one of us has a role to play in this world. No one is superior and neither of us are inferior. We all are incomplete without each other. Each relation is there for a reason; every family member (though not with choice) completes us in some way or the other; the children that have come into this world have a purpose already defined; the challenges we face are meant for us; the achievements are to propel us to the next level; and so on ….

All of us fit into this JIGSAW called LIFE! Everyone and everything is for a reason! Let us not question LIFE itself. Let’s live life to the fullest enjoying every bit of it!
