The Positive Diary

The Invisible

In recent times Cycling has become my tool towards Moksha. Waking up early morning, riding on the saddle, paddling up the streets,  listening to the birds, smelling early morning fresh air, enjoying the swaying trees with the gentle breeze kissing your cheeks…. moments of bliss!
I usually ride to Khadakwasla Dam and beyond. A favourite spot on the banks of the Dam is never missed. The cycle is parked to observe the waters and the horizon. The horizon has a combination of backwaters and the Sayadri  Mountains. The Sahyadris are stacked one beyond another  in a random manner. I have sometimes visited this spot in the evening, only to experience the expanse of the Sunset on the horizon. Its unbelievably beautiful.  As the moment of the Sunset arrives, the colours in the sky change into combinations of red, yellow, purple, orange and infinite colours, in a dream way. These glimpses are absolute magic.
Today, as I cycled towards my favourite spot, it was already raining. As I reached this spot, far off the horizon was covered with fog. There were no backwaters, no Mountains, not even the sky that could be seen. But this form of nature too was fabulous.
Something crossed my mind …. I could not see anything beyond the fog, does that mean that all the beautiful Mountains, backwaters, the sky are absent? Have they disappeared overnight?
No…. absolutely not!
It’s a temporary phase. Once the fog is cleared, everything will appear like earlier.
Isn’t life too like this?
There are so many beautiful things happening in our life. But in some difficult phases we are unable to see the positive aspects around. This does not mean that our life is surrounded only by sorrows. Sooner or later the fog will recede. The horizon will be cleared. Once again the colourful sky, the Sahyadris stacked one after another will be visible. Its just a question of time…. or rather its all about our will-power, patience.

Lets have faith. Sooner or later, the fog will be cleared.

  1. Thank you for bringing this perspective back to me today. I needed it. I’m in a moment of fog, but as you say this shall pass.
