Thane, August 31 – Age proves no obstacle for young Samarth Karande, a two-year-old prodigy originally from Thane but currently residing in Malaysia. His extraordinary achievements have astonished the world, as he has shattered records that even adults would find daunting. While most toddlers his age are still mastering basic language skills, Samarth’s exceptional talents have garnered global attention.
Despite his tender age of 2 years and 11 months, Samarth has accomplished a remarkable feat. He managed to read an astonishing 401 English words in a mere 7 minutes. His remarkable achievement has earned him recognition from prestigious organizations like the Kalam World Record and the India Book of Records, cementing his status as a true genius.
Samarth’s journey to this remarkable achievement has been far from ordinary. As a toddler, he faced a speech delay and didn’t start speaking until he was one and a half years old. This initially caused concern for his parents, who took him out in public, constantly trying to engage with him. To their amazement, Samarth gradually began to recognize and read English letters. Recognizing his budding interest in reading, his parents introduced him to small books, further nurturing his newfound passion.
Tushar Karande, Samarth’s father, shared their incredible discovery: “We learned about the Kalam World Record through a relative. As we delved deeper into it, we discovered that it involves reading the maximum number of words within a specified time frame. While the previous record for a child of Samarth’s age stood at 380 English words in 14 minutes, Samarth shattered expectations by reading an astounding 401 words in just 7 minutes. This exceptional accomplishment has been officially recognized by the India Book of Records as well.”
Hailing from Kalwa in the Thane district, Samarth’s parents, Tushar and Priyanka Karande, have been residing in Malaysia for the past eight years. Tushar Karande expressed his unwavering support for his son’s pursuits, stating, “We will wholeheartedly support whatever path Samarth chooses to take.”
