For those of you who followed the last blog on ‘26 Inspirational People’, this blog will not come as a surprise. After reading about these inspirational people, I was excited to pen down the dreams that I have. If I don’t dream after reading about these great people, it would be such a shame. I have divided them into Personal and Professional dreams. Here they are –
PERSONAL –
- I dream of participating and completing Iron Man – one of the toughest races on Earth within 3 years
- I dream of making my parents feel that they are the most blessed people in the whole world
- I dream of making Arpita totally independent in all areas and hence allow her to live a life she would have dreamt of
- I dream of moulding my children to be great citizens of the world
- I dream of taking my family for a trip to South Africa
- I dream of being a visiting faculty in IIM-A
- I dream of being the most read blogger in the next three years
- I dream of having a PhD (don’t know the field yet)
- I dream of being given an example/ role model for various qualities I possess
- I dream of retiring from doing things that I must do for earning a living; and start doing things I love to do by the age of 40
PROFESSIONAL –
- I dream of making Jain Ceramics a place where architects, interior designers, and individual clients would love to come to see unique products
- I dream of creating Jain Ceramics as one of the best places to work in Pune city within a couple of years
- I dream of having 10 branches of Jain Ceramics across India within 10 years
- I dream of re-kindling the seemingly dying industry of Mother of Pearl inlay. I want to give out franchisees of it across India
- I dream of building e-ceramall.com into one of the best startups from India within 5 years – valued at 100 crores
- I dream to giving presentation to our Honourable PM Shri. Narendra Modi regarding ways to improve the sanitation issue in the country before he gets re-elected in 2019
- I dream of creating 1000 jobs for the underprivileged
- I dream of being a consultant and help businesses grow leaps and bounds
- I dream of starting to take lectures regarding my journey so far in the vast world of business along with things that I learnt during my Masters course in Australia
Earlier I would get scared of dreaming thinking – what if I fail? But, of late, a realisation has dawned that until I dream, I will never be able to achieve anything worthwhile. There is no guarantee that I will achieve every dream I have mentioned. Even if I achieve a few of them, I would have done something lovely with my life.
In chasing my dreams, I will anyway become a better person. I remember someone quoting – “Aim for the moon, you will at least reach the stars!” Unfortunately most people do not dream. They are so caught up and happy in their daily routine that they just do not have the bandwidth to think about the future. Fortunately, I paused and made my list.
I really hope and wish that by now you have already opened a new window on your laptop/ smartphone and are ready to begin making your list – “I DREAM…”
