Feel Good When…

DATED – 1st February 2017

I feel good when

  • I wear nice clothes and look up-to-date
  • I help someone in need
  • I am able to bring a smile on someone’s face
  • I complete a task on time
  • I can help people see a situation in future that they aren’t seeing
  • I patiently listen to someone and allow them to vent out
  • I can stretch myself, take care of my kids, and allow Arpita to take rest
  • In spite of having a long day, have full energy to play with my twins
  • I give a suggestion to someone, which makes a difference in the way they do business
  • My inputs help my online business get more reach and engagement
  • I take an amazing office meeting
  • I do my workouts for my fitness
  • I consistently write blogs without worrying about readership increasing or dropping
  • I meditate
  • I become a reason for a twinkle in the eyes of my parents
  • I am able to take out time to read
  • I go to see a movie in a theatre
  • I travel to see new places and meet people
  • I convince people to do a seminar, which I think, will help them
  • I learn something new
  • I break my comfort zones
  • Meet friends/cousins over dinner

This is my list of things that makes me feel good. We may have a few things common, but you will have your own list. I know most of us never take out time to jot down these points. We feel we know what makes us feel good. But jotting them down is a revelation onto ourselves, like I had. We will never realise it until we do it

I am a great believer that when I feel good about myself, I can do anything in this world. When I do enough things that make me feel good, my self-belief increases. When I am high on self-belief, I am even ready to do things that otherwise look difficult. It’s like feeling on a high, without an ounce of alcohol.

Vis-à-vis my life

I do some things out of the list consistently and some I don’t. I wish to do even those things, which I usually don’t. But this is the first time I have taken out time to jot down these things. This blog has made me realise that I must keep doing ‘things that make me feel good’ more consistently.

Yes, that’s the bottom line – to be able to do ‘things that make me feel good’ more and more. Sometimes it will mean a change in my routine, little inconveniences, sacrificing some things, some heartbeat skipping moments, etc. But at the end of it, it will be a great feeling, that’s a guarantee! That is a later stage though. The first stage is to make the list. As you complete reading the blog, start making your list of – ‘I feel good when…’
