An amazing video of RJ Naved – “Stay Strong”, has been doing rounds on whatsapp and other social media platforms. If you have not yet seen it, you must see it now – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clbBFnYD_8Q
A man of about 65 year old feels he is going to pass away due to Corona. The beauty of this video is the way RJ Naved handles this call and changes the mindset of the man without directly addressing the issue!
With the second wave of Corona hitting the country, there is widespread fear. There are multiple mediums where people are talking about what is not okay; how the vaccines are in short supply; the unavailability of beds; scarcity of oxygen; the number of deaths happening; the cases per day coming; loss of income; and many more issues which drain you.
There is no denying the fact that these are the issues and facts. But at the same time, there are positives out of it too. A couple aged 105 and 95 recovered; a lady who had CT score of 25/25 defeated Corona; a man who was 85 years old donated his hospital bed for a 40 year old as he had more life left; Australian all rounder Pat Cummins donated $50,000 as an aid to the PM Cares fund; international community is garnering all possible support to India; Trade associations and corporates are setting up Covid centres to aid the needy; many people have taken up exercising to build immunity; traditional Indian things like – kadha, pranayama etc are being taken up at home; and the list goes on!
The point I am trying to make is – in any situation there is GOLD and there is CRAP! The question is – Where is your focus?
Lets look at some situations in our lives –
- Our PM is giving half an hour speech, you might not like 80% of what he says, but if 20% is good, just take that and implement it rather than talking about the 80%
- Your boss gives you a shouting of a lifetime, but in that he has picked the thorn in your conduct, which has stopped you from growing. Instead of feeling bad about it, be happy about the thorn he has shown you
- Your mother-in-law/ daughter-in-law has some irritating habits. But she must have some good ones too? Focus on gold in each other so that the son/ husband does not become a sandwich between the two
- Gadgets have ruined relationships. People love to be more on their gadgets than with people. Yet it has some wonderful information. Can you choose to take Gold out of the gadgets and keep rest of the time for people around you
- After years of staying together, couples know the best and worst of each other. The relationship will flower or suffer depending on whether the focus is on the crap inside them or the gold
The easiest thing found in the world today is – crap. Everyone seems to have some or the other information/ knowledge is absolutely worthless. People can talk endlessly on politics, cricket, IPL, religion etc. But does it change anything about us? We might have shut a few mouths, but how does it help except for ego satisfaction?
On the other hand if we want to take gold from any person or any situation, our life will take a different dimension altogether. When we look for positives and good, our focus shifts on better things. The more positive we are, the more positivity is attracted to us and hence things start materializing for good. It is an unsaid rule of life – if we focus on Gold, rewards from Existence are coming our way – now or in near future.
The unfortunate part of the world we live in is – those who talk crap are the ones who garner all the attention, whereas those who are focusing on gold are silent achievers. Some mistake them to be good for nothing because they don’t talk much. But such silent buggers are listening to even one good sentence that comes their way and makes their life better bit by bit.
Crap is everywhere today – especially on social media, various apps, newspapers, magazines, get-togethers etc. At the same time, if we look around there are enough people who are gold whom we might be meeting/ talking to very often. The more we get them to talk, the more we will realize what gems are hidden inside them. We need to start valuing such people.
To conclude I would like to say that our focus should be on CUTTING THE CRAP around us and focusing on DISCOVERING THE HIDDEN GOLD amongst us!
#corona #positivity #motivation #gold #crap

We indeed need to cut the crap and FIND THE GOLD! Crap is too much; Gold is limited!
