Colour Me Kind

She was a tad darker for a conventionally pretty lady,

Optimistic, atop a glass shelf she found her remedy.

The smooth and soft lube of cream left her skin not only supple,

But also cut the melanin synthesis, puncturing her inferiority bubble…

Indiscriminatingly, it welcomed all genders’ traffic.

Thawing a cold heart or stirring a conscience will be unlaid bets!

Why, God help us all, do we incline towards the outside…?

Why not look past the temporary and honour the intangible inside?

How fantastic will it be if we spent more time away from mirrors…!

We actually open the books instead of fretting about their covers.

While we impart values and education to the next generation dutifully,

Incredible it’d be if we also teach them to know and not just judge people conditionally!
