Stretch and Feel :
Wake up and stretch your body well . Take a moment , place your hand on your heart and feel grateful for the moment, for your breath, for the morning. Beginning the day with Gratitude is the best way to begin.

Remember your Dreams/Goals :
Align yourself to the goal or dream you have set for the day, week, month or year. Trust that you will take the right actions towards your goal. Setting an Intention or goal makes you look forward to something. It could be anything small like smiling more today or any big work goal .

Drink a Glass of Lukewarm Water with a Dash of Lemon:
This helps to clean the body. While sipping this water, drink with all your senses. Relish the flavour, watch the colour, inhale its lemony fragrance, feel it as it gushes down your system to cleanse.

Cleansing Routine :
A good shower and dental routine maintains overall good health. This healthy routine to take care of your body will energise you giving freshness to seize the day !
Ending the shower with cold water for a few seconds increases the blood flow and boosts the immune system.

Exercise and Pranayam :
Maintaining a good health routine is important. Gym, yoga, walk or a run, whatever be your choice , just begin.

Eat Healthy Nurturing Food:
Watch your food! Make sure your diet has fibres and proteins. Eat loads of fruits and salads. Look at your food, inhale its freshness, enjoy the tastes, listen to your eating sounds, feel its texture thus involving all your senses. Eat mindfully. Take your time. Don’t hurry and chew chew chew ! Feel grateful .

Drink Enough Water :
Drink a glass of water every two hours . This is important !

Stop and Breathe :
For the mind to be more focused, present and at peace, stop and take a deep breath. Do this frequently throughout the day.

Reflect :
In the evening, go through your day. Introspect your day, your actions , your words. Look for areas of growth. Accept and feel grateful for everything. Accept and let be. Accept and let go.
Finally, rest well ! Sleep well !

Anyways this is how a self care daily checklist roughly looks like. Hope it inspires you to maintain a routine. It’s not too late to start.

Self care may not be the same for all. What works for me may not work for you. Look for insights. Include actions that you like or would like to do. Identify your needs.
