All of us have some people whom we look upto for certain qualities. They become our inspiration too. A couple of days back, I requested people on my facebook page to tell me a celebrity/ public figure who inspires them; along with the quality which inspires them. Here is a compilation of answers I received (in alphabetical order) –

I am sure there are innumerable more people who are inspirations. I have just noted a few. The point I really want to bring up is this – all of us have people who inspire us; a quality that stands out. But is that quality of my inspiration, a part of me? Eg: I admire Steve Jobs for being the best in whatever he does. Though I look upto him for this quality, have I made it a part of my life? Am I the best in my field? Do I leave a stamp of excellence in anything I take up? Or am I happy to just appreciate him and Apple?
Only when that inspirational quality becomes a part of my life, will I become an inspiration to someone. Else, my life will be yet another life on this planet Earth. Let us first identify the quality that inspires us in anyone you know. Do everything possible to make that quality a part of your DNA. Great results will be just a matter of time …
