A few days back, my parents and me were merrily sipping our morning chai! As we were chit-chatting, we heard a lot of crows cawing. That caught our attention. We were wondering – why are crows cawing today?
My dearest mom in that moment, chipped in, “This is biggest difference between crows and dogs. When there is food available, crows caw and call their community to eat together. Whereas dogs will bark and scare away other dogs to eat the meal alone.”
I was impressed at her observation. Even when you search Google for crows cawing, it only says – it is bad omen. But fortunately, my mom believes more on observation than Google! Afterall, Google does not know everything just as yet.
This observation made me dive deeper a day later. All people around us (including you and me) fall in either of the two categories. Like crows we could share or like dogs we can be selfish. Which side do you think are you?
Needless to say – we would love to be in the category who shares (meaning the crows). Infact I am sure you are thinking – I always share! But there are enough things, which we prefer to keep to ourselves/ be selfish about (like the dogs) –
· Are you open to share the success mantra of your business without fearing their success?
· If you’ve learnt a code where your colleague is stuck, will you hand it over to her? Knowing full well that it might get her a promotion.
· Does possessiveness of people/ things stop you from sharing?
· Would you care to share your favourite dish, which you are having after a long time?
· Will you happily handover keys of your new car to a friend?
· If you’ve found the right technique to do an asana, will you share it with your friend who usually does better asanas than you?
· and many other such instances ….
The only person who can genuinely show a mirror to you is yourself. The beauty is – you can never lie to yourself. Hence the idea of this blog is to reflect within. What is your conduct? Are you open to sharing? Or do you usually keep things to yourself? Is it a fact that you will share where you see no threat? Are you witty enough to share only to those who inspite of implementing will never reach your level?
Sharing is something, that should be done with heart, keeping the cunning mind aside. Like I wrote in an earlier blog – “THE WAR WITHIN”, heart is always a sanctum of purity! Trust it! Believe it! You can never go wrong.
I am of a strong opinion that – whenever we share wholeheartedly, invariably the universe will give us more.
Let us be like crows who love to share what is available that point of time, and take future as it comes. We must deter to be like dogs, who want to only keep themselves full and care a damn about others!
Kudos to you if you are in category of crows. We need more people like you! And for those who heart of heart have realized that you are unlike the crows, the time to step up is now!
HAPPY CAWING !!!!

I have always been a Crow…but it helps to be a Dog, sometimes, maybe!! Depends on the situation you are in and at the age and stage of your career!
I am sure you’ve been a Crow! Being a teacher by heart (by profession and feeling), invariably leads to sharing!
Good one Amit!!!!
🙂
Thanks Bro
Its a different ‘share’…
But people dont share their problems openly…their weaknesses…their fears…
I do agree that in this very very selfish world its difficult to share for some…the minds have narrowed…
Situations teach us to be secretive and cautious…
But bonds from selflessness are precious…
Essentially the sharing here is more about something that can help the other person.
The deep feelings, emotions and others can be shared only with the closest of your confidants!
The bonds from selflessness are indeed precious!
