Do I really need to RESOLVE?

Loading

One of my very good friends has embarked on a journey of self-realization and spirituality. Since most of her time is with herself, we rarely get a chance to talk. But whenever we get a chance, she shares about the cleansing and the internal changes she is going through.

When I could connect with her last week, she mentioned about getting in touch with a mentor who seemed to be the right guide for her journey ahead. But what really struck me was the series of events that happened before this – while staying in the Himalayas, she shunned a lot of mental and emotional baggage; when she came to Pune, she realised that she had some issues with her loved ones, which probably needed some tacking (not that anyone complained, but she felt she needed to take it up); and then she headed to the south to an ashram where lot of internal churning had happened.

It was then it struck her that this person could be the one she was looking for to be her guide. She wrote to him on email and within a few days came reply from his secretary. The secretary wrote to my friend, ‘You are accepted to be here and meet him.’ The most surprising part was for me, when she was narrating her experiences of meeting him for the first time, was – though she had never met him before, he knew everything about her. It was as if – She was destined to meet him and he knew she was coming. He was already expecting her

Later while introspecting, she connected the dots! She realized that he was always there to be written and connected to. But Existence didn’t dawn that realization upon her until she had RESOLVED important things – internal, emotional and with her loved ones. When she RESOLVED things, her mentor appeared!

While most of us are addicted to the world we are living in, her journey gives us an extremely important realization. Look into your life and ask yourself – Are there any personal or professional relationships that are bitter right now? Are you not on talking terms with someone? Does a sight of someone cause anger and irritation? Does one person or some incident cause a stir inside you?

We can briefly categorize our issues as – Internal (which has more to do with your thinking, your emotions, your actions, some past occurrences, deep hurt etc.) and with the outside world (when relating to people in your personal or professional life)

If issues are internal then talk to yourself to make your heart and mind meet over a solution. If that sounds impossible for you, talk to someone who you think can be a guiding force to you. If the issue is with the external world, I would highly recommend going and talking to that person one to one. Do not message or send emails. Talking on phone or by physically meeting is the best way to resolve.

Is the process of RESOLVE easy? IT IS NOT and never will be. There shall be fear, tears, blame game, confrontations, abusing, accusations, and a flurry of emotions. But still – RESOLVE you must. Remember, you are not resolving for anyone, but FOR YOURSELF. Only when you resolve, does a plethora of opportunities, love, abundance, prosperity and blessings flow into your life.

The choice is yours – whether to open up opportunities or keep your world small and full of uncertainties
