The Corona pandemic has shook the entire world. A seemingly small virus has brought the world on it’s knees! It is said that we might see more such viruses every now and then. Even if we find a vaccine for Corona, it can not be said that the world is a safe place, like before! We world shall never be the same again!

Such pandemics, or viruses are beyond our control. We can do absolutely nothing about it. But, there are THREE THINGS, which we must do and that are in our control –

  1. PRECAUTIONS – There are various medical organisations who study these micro-organisms and guide us on how to keep them away. We must pay heed and not ignore them. As time passes by, we tend to become ignorant and that’s when these viruses strike. Until the pandemic is under control, we must take all the necessary precautions
  2. STAY FIT – This is the one, which is tough but highly effective. These viruses find it difficult to stay alive in a FIT body – meaning we must exercise and boost our immunity. We must eat healthy, and refrain from anything which will reduce our ability to fight these viruses. Exercising, and eating right is not for a few months, but it has to become your routine, a lifestyle
  3. HAVE FAITH – I know it sounds spiritual and as if we are leaving everything to God. But, I mean to say that whether we come in contact with that virus or not is not our choice. It will just come, without asking for permission. That’s where the faith comes in. Have faith that you will stay healthy, and have faith in your immunity (expecting you have worked for it). I am a firm believer that having positive thoughts will always help us get what we desire – how and when is again not my choice!

My wife Arpita and Me came in contact with a friend who tested positive for Corona. The moment we came to know, we isolated ourselves (we took precautions). We have worked out hard to build our immunity. We have exercised regularly and generally have a healthy lifestyle (we have built our body’s resistance power well). Finally, whenever we would talk to each other, the conversation would be – we will be fine. Let’s stay positive (we had faith that only good will happen to us). While every other person who came in contact with our friend did show symptoms, we passed through that phase without a strain!

The realisation in those ten days was – LET’s STAY FIT – physically and mentally! That’s the way ahead in the times to come!
